Centre for Social Innovation (ZSI) is a private non-profit institute for applied social sciences based in Vienna (Austria). ZSI implements research and application projects on the social embedding and impact of all types of innovations and contributes to the design and diffusion of socially accepted and sustainable innovations to meet global challenges.
ZSI and Science Diplomacy: The department “Research Policy and Development” of ZSI has been active in international science cooperation and science diplomacy for many years and coordinated the Horizon 2020 project S4D4C – Using Science for/in Diplomacy for Addressing Global Challenges. The former S4D4C coordinator, Elke Dall, is the founding chair of the EU Science Diplomacy Alliance (first half of 2021).
