European Union Science Diplomacy Alliance Members Awarded AIAS Fellowships

European Union Science Diplomacy Alliance members Maria Rentetzi (Friedrich-Alexander Universität Nürnberg) and Anna-Lena Rüland (Univesity College London) were selected as fellows for the Aarhus Institute of Advanced Studies (AIAS) Science Diplomacy Theme Group. The prestigious, one-of-a-kind fellowship aims to advance the research-based focus and knowledge of the interdisciplinary relatedness of science diplomacy as an impactful factor across research fields. During the structured, 10-months fellowship at AIAS, Maria and Anna-Lena will work on an independent research projects under the guidance of Casper Andersen (Professor, Group Leader at Aarhus University) and collaborate with the wider group of interdisciplinary fellows at AIAS.

In her fellowship project, Maria will explore science and technology-based diplomacy in the colonial context of the diamond industry and trade, while Anna-Lena will use the fellowship to investigate the relationship between research security and science diplomacy.

The European Union Science Diplomacy Alliance congratulates Maria and Anna-Lena on being selected for the AIAS Science Diplomacy Theme Group Fellowship and is excited to learn more about their fellowship projects.
