SFIC summarises its achievements in a comprehensive overview paper.
With the new ERA Governance to take effect as of January 2022, the ERA-related groups under ERAC will come to an end. However, the issue of international STI cooperation will remain of relevance also in the future. This is why SFIC has summarised its achievements in a comprehensive overview paper that also contains a number of topics related to the new ERA actions and the R&I Pact. It is therefore not only a retrospective report, but should also serve as an inspiration for issues to be tackled in the future. In addition, SFIC provides a contribution to a European Science Diplomacy Agenda. The recently adopted Council Conclusions on the “Global approach to research and innovation” underline the importance of Science Diplomacy and “call on the Commission and the European External Action Service to develop a European Science Diplomacy Agenda and to present it to the Council”. With this document SFIC, together with some key stakeholders, wishes to contribute to the development of such an agenda.
