UNESCO Releases Report on Global Ministerial Dialogue on Science Diplomacy
UNESCO has published the report from its Global Ministerial Dialogue on Science Diplomacy, summarizing key findings and conclusions from the meeting held earlier this year. The Alliance contributed a full day workshop on training in science diplomacy.
The dialogue emphasized that strengthening science diplomacy is essential to advance the International Decade of Sciences for Sustainable Development and to harness science for positive societal transformation.
Amid rising geopolitical tensions, widening science and technology divides, and growing focus on national interests over global commons, participants highlighted the urgent need for a renewed and actionable science diplomacy agenda — one that keeps research collaboration open, secure, and directed toward shared global goals, sustainable development, and peace.
