SDG Bergen

The University of Bergen is an internationally oriented comprehensive university with partners in all continents. The university has seven faculties with more than 4,000 scientific and administrative staff and 18,500 students. The education offered to our students is research-based. The university has three strategic areas: Marine sciences, climate research and energy transformation, and global challenges. Since 2017, the university has put the 2030 Agenda as an added priority area, in particular engaging in science diplomacy towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The university is official SDG14 (Life below water) Hub for United Nations Academic Impact and is the SDG14 Cluster Lead for the International Association of Universities.
