The conference is offered as a free and open event to all attendees with registration thanks to the InsSciDE project’s EU Horizon 2020 grant (grant agreement n° 770523). Attendees of the conference are responsible for their own accommodation and travel (unless otherwise agreed with the organizers) and you do not need to wait for specific confirmation to book your stay.
From the airport
From the airports Charles de Gaulle (CDG) or Orly, the train RER B takes you to the centre of Paris in less than 45 minutes for under 12€ (book online to avoid queuing). The RER B stops at seven stations within the inner city limits of Paris, between Gare du Nord and Cité Universitaire. From Orly, the station Antony is reached with a short bus ride. The station Saint Michel is close to the venues of Day 1 (Latin Quarter).
Official taxis (‘Taxi de Paris’ and green light on the car roof) are available at airport stands. They apply a fixed rate: 53€ to anywhere on the Right Bank, and 58€ to the Left Bank.
An Uber will cost from around 34€ to 47€ from CDG to Paris, depending on the time and drop-off location.
Public transportation
The metro system is a convenient and reliable way to get around Paris and most stations have trains departing every 3-4 minutes.
Buses are also a good form of transport and the RER trains connect the city to the suburbs.
Uber
Uber is widely accessible but sometimes takes longer than public transportation due to traffic.
