On 24 September, the EU Science Diplomacy Alliance will participate in the session Science Diplomacy to Achieve the SDGs in the Science Summit at UNGA76 (United Nations General Assembly). The Alliance will be represented by its current co-chair Angela Schindler-Daniels of the German Aerospace Center (DLR). Other panelists include Jan Marco Müller, Science and Technology Advisor of the European External Action Service (EEAS); Sir Peter Gluckman, chair of the International Network of Government Science Advice (INGSA); and it will be moderated by Mei Lin, co-founder of the People Centered Internet.
Hosted online 14-30 September 2021, the Science Summit at UNGA76 serves as a forum for scientists, policy-makers and other stakeholders to learn from each other and foster cooperation on complex challenges that require science at the forefront of its solutions. It will demonstrate initiatives that provide models for global science mechanisms and activities in support of the SDGs, particularly in science infrastructure and capacity building.
